Baby Rabbits
Newborn baby rabbits are cute and cuddly. They make great pets, but you definitely need to know all that you can about baby rabbits before you bring them into your home. If you are lucky enough to have the bunny mother and her young then that is a good thing as the momma will take care of them. She will not be able to run through the wild and collect food for her young. That is where your job comes in so that the rabbits grow up to be healthy.

You are now going to be a second parent to the baby bunnies and you need to keep them safe, protected and well nourished on a constant basis. This means providing a cage that must always be kept clean and locked so that your bunnies do not become the victim of other animal eating them or harming them. It has to be a large cage so that the bunnies and their mom can be comfortable, but also have a place for a litter box, food and water bowls.
Keep your baby rabbits full of food and maintain a clean area. It only takes a couple of weeks for the rabbits to start noticing the food that their mother eats. It will take up to 10 weeks however for the rabbits to completely be weaned and want to eat leafy greens and vegetables. Remember rabbits love grass to eat, love from you and a carpeted area to play on.
